Bjorka the Robinhood
A hacker claims to have data on Indonesian residents and criticizes the Indonesian government.
An anonymous hacker who is going viral on social media because of his daring action to leak personal data.
Bjorka said he wanted to show that Indonesia's cybersecurity was very weak and easy to break into.
Bjorka wrote on twitter, "I just wanted to point out a little how easy it is for me to get into various entrances due to poor data protection policies. Especially if it is managed by the government,".
Bjorka went viral last September, at first the data was disseminated by Bjorka to a site where he operates called Breach Forums. It doesn't stop there, Bjorka also spends money from the site after selling the data that he disseminates and is priced at millions of US Dollars.
Bjorka's bold actions , of course, on social media such as twitter and telegram, although not stylish because his account was banned because he did not want his identity to be known by the public.
On 10/9/22 bjorka wrote on his twitter account "The supreme leader in technology should be given to someone who understands, not a politician and not someone from the armed forces. Because they are just idiots". From the article above, readers can understand the purpose of bjorka leaking personal data.
Bjorka has leaked SIM Card registration data for the people of Indonesia which will certainly harm the community.
But strangely, public sentiment towards Bjorka tends to be positive and even makes this hacker figure a hero.
Regarding this, quoted from Kompas.TV, Founder Drone Emprit Ismail Fahmi assessed "this is because people are often disappointed and do not trust the government anymore regarding data".
We as a society must protect personal data because it can be misused by irresponsible people. And the government must also improve cyber security so that this horrendous thing does not happen again and has an even worse impact.
